With 97 per cent of system-wide freight originating, terminating or passing through Dubai, much of our success is attributable to the systems and equipment at our hub - acknowledged by the industry as one of the most modern and efficient cargo terminals in the world. Here we provide the shortest acceptance, delivery and transit times of any major international airport, with urgent inbound consignments cleared within 60 minutes of arrival, outbound acceptances up to just 120 minutes prior to departure and on-line transfers possible in less than 60 minutes. Offering rapid, secure handling and a comprehensive range of special storage areas we are able to cater for every type of cargo. Fully integrated computer systems link airlines, customs and freight forwarding agencies, and ensure that consignments can be traced and retrieved in minutes, whilst dedicated facilities for courier shipments and express cargo provide fast-track, priority channels. Dubai is one of the world's major centres of sea-air interchange. At Emirates SkyCargo, we work closely with the Dubai Ports Authority. We have jointly developed systems that enable cargo arriving by ship at the city's modern ports to be transported in bond to the dedicated inter-modal bays at Dubai International Airport. These are then palletised, loaded and airborne- all within only four hours of being off-loaded from the delivering vessel. |
