Boeing 747-400F & 747-400ERF

In addition to cargo carried in the holds of our passenger aircraft across the Emirates SkyCargo network, we also operate Boeing 747 freighter services.

The Boeing 747-400 freighter is capable of carrying up to 117 tonnes. Emirates SkyCargo's pure freighter services add much needed capacity on high density routes. Additionally, the Boeing 747-400 freighter main-deck side cargo door, with a height of around three metres, allows the uplift of outsized shipments that cannot be accommodated in the belly-holds of passenger aircraft. The nose cargo door allows carriage of long pieces.

The world's most advanced long-range freighter, is a good neighbour aircraft too - its noise footprint is 50 per cent smaller than its predecessor, the 747-200F and emissions are significantly lower.

A unique feature of the aircraft is the independently controlled air-conditioned zones, enabling Emirates SkyCargo to carry items requiring different temperatures on the same flight. Each zone can be maintained at different temperature levels.

With its greater capacity, longer range, increased reliability, speedier turnarounds and an improved environment for perishables, our new 747-400 freighters bring Emirates SkyCargo's customers a host of additional benefits.
